Sneak Peek of Igniter Tracks!!

Written by Rob Thomas

Coming this Fall is a new series by Igniter Media Group called Igniter Tracks. We’re not going to tell you much more other than we are very excited about this product and think it will bring a freshness to the worship experience. Let us know what you think.

UPDATE: Thanks for the feedback so far. Here’s a little more info about Igniter Tracks.

1. We are releasing two volumes simultaneously with 7 songs on each volume.

2. We have chosen what we think are 14 amazing worship songs.

3. Each song will include the visual element with lyrics, as well as three audio versions to chose from: One is the full band and vocal (good for vocal teams to use to learn and rehearse), another is with vocal on left channel, instrument on right channel (good when you have a vocal team but want to use our intrumental), and the last one is click on left channel, instrument on right channel (use this when you want to do all the music live and competely in sync with the visual element).

4. We are including sheet music and chord charts.

We are looking at a late September release date. Stay tuned.

UPDATED x2: It now appears that we will be releasing Igniter Tracks late October.

UPDATED x3: Darn!  We keep missing our date.  Though technically you can now pre-order, we won’t actually ship till the end of November.  Sorry for the delays.

I really like it! The only thing that might not go over with my church’s congregation is the skulls… they were pretty subtle, but it could freak them out a tad. I hope that you’ll have a variety of song choices, so we could use those they’re familiar with.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Lisa

  2. Andy Says:

This is amazing. You guys have created a lot of beautiful art that has helped our congregation to enter God’s presence, but this is above and beyond anything I’ve seen before. God is clearly blessing your work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

great idea, I think it could do a lot for a worship service. confused? does my worship team play along with it or are we supposed to just play this. I would rather my team do it but may be difficult for them, because they would have to play it just like they have on screen.
    Thanks for all you do!

  4. Markus Watson Says:

    Very, very, very cool!

  5. Jason Says:

I don’t know how you make grunge so beautiful, but you do. Thank you for creating moving art that moves hearts to Jesus. You guys rock!

  6. Chris Says:

    Oh, now this is niiiiiice.

  7. Ron Says:

This looks great. It sounds a lot like another product we use at times. But if this works well in Media Shout then it will be a great replacement to those pesky DVDs.

  8. Mark Allen Says:

Brilliant, i love all the options for this, you really thought it through and have given us such a variety of options. I like the click track option best, I don’t think there is anything else like this out there.

  9. Jim Nielsen Says:

I am blown away at the amazing talent you all are using for The Lord! I am looking forward to the finished product. Can you give us a hint at the songs that you have in mind?

  10. Joy Whitley Says:

Love it. Can’t wait to purchase. Thanks for helping us with our ministries.

  11. Karl Jacoby Says:

Another awesome way for us to impact persons lives in the name of Jesus Christ!

  12. Trevor Oakes Says:

I think this is a wonderful concept and will be fresh and fun idea to see what comes about. I could definately use this in my student ministry and will look forward to the launch date to see how we can use it.

  13. Rick Says:

Really interesting concept and the execution was fine indeed except for the image of Jesus on the cross- a bit too Catholic for me, but all in all I liked it. Very creative, too bad about that one image though. I’ll recommend it heartily for sure.

[...] November 6th, 2007 If you haven’t heard about the new line of product from Igniter Media Group (one of the top church media producers by far) you need to check it out, its called Igniter Tracks and I can’t wait until they release later this month. They are starting off with 2 volumes with 7 songs on each, every song includes incredible video with lyrics, as well as three audio versions to chose from the last being a click track for the band to play along with to stay in sync with the video. Their stuff is always extremely creative and very cool and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. You can preview “Jesus Paid It All” here, and you can preorder both volumes here. Awesome designs. I love the visuals. the only issue I have is the thy and thines, art thou. I have never even heard someone talk like that. You might want to consider using some more modern songs that match your incredible modern graphics. Thanks

  16. Rob Thomas Says:

    Michael,
Out of the 14 songs, 2 of them are older hymns (both with a modern twist)… We didn’t feel it was our place to change the lyrics to one of these hymns… but we still think there are some amazing hymns that will find a place on our Igniter Track volumes.
