99 BALLOONS featured on The Today Show

Written by Rob Thomas

Matt & Ginny Mooney got a call from The Today Show several weeks ago saying they wanted to do a segment with them.  They were able to show 99 BALLOONS, talk to the Mooneys about life after Eliot, and were able to introduce Hazel to the world (She is so cute and hilarious in the clip).  Once again, we are reminded how privileged we were to get to tell Eliot’s story in the form of a short film.  99 BALLOONS remains our most watched video on the internet… Igniter’s websiteYouTube, and Tangle show a combined 4 million views.

If you didn’t get a chance to see them on The Today Show last week, CLICK HERE and be inspired by the Mooneys.

Igniter at the Willow Arts Conference

Written by Rob Thomas

Most of the conference we seem to go to these days are more COLLIDE Magazine or WorshipHouse Media focused… It was fun and refreshing to come as Igniter to a conference again… we haven’t done that in a while… We did so many conferences back in the day where we only had one or two products to sell…now, we have a lot more.

Ashton Lloyd joins the team

Written by Rob Thomas

You may recall one of our interns from last summer… click here for a reminder.  That’s right, Ashton Lloyd is now a part of the RT Creative Group team and we are thrilled to have her.  She did a great job last summer as an intern and now we get her full time.  She is a graphic designer and will work on many many projects… if I listed them, she’d become overwhelmed and leave on her first week.  She brought some great looking lamps up to the office today to decorate her area and she also brought a big candle (see image)… We already have candle burning guidelines in place due to the over-powering smell it emits (we want her to burn it for 15 minutes every morning so our offices smell good… but not much longer so as to take away the oxygen).

We love Ashton… Welcome to the team.

Our summer interns!!

Written by Rob Thomas

We are excited to have two individuals joining us this summer.  Presenting…. our interns (crash symbol sound)

First up is graphic designer, Aina.  A recent ACU graduate, Aina will be helping Igniter in all kinds of ways… We hope to benefit from her design skills and also help train her in some of those areas. She is originally from Madagascar which is just as cool and interesting to me as it is to my kids.

Also with us, fresh out of Savannah College of Art and Design is Matthew. Matthew is a motion designer and loves After Effects and many kinds of animation and compositing.  We’re excited to have his help this summer.  He is originally from Charleston, SC which is just as cool and interesting to me as it is to my kids… okay, my kids don’t care, but I still do.

Interns, Welcome.

Beth Moore Conference uses Igniter Backs Plus

Written by Rob Thomas

We had Flower Back from Igniter Backs Plus 05 used (among other imagery) at one of Beth Moore’s conferences.  I had the opportunity to meet Beth Moore many years ago… She’s the sweetest lady and an amazing speaker/teacher.  Thanks Stephen Proctor for sending the photo.

HAPPY DAY! is now available.

Written by Rob Thomas

We have just finished and released the Igniter Track for HAPPY DAY.  This song has a lot of energy and I love the updated Tim Hughes version of an old classic.  I love the simple truth in this song and is a favorite at my church.

We also have released easySLIDES for HAPPY DAY.  We think these will actually be more popular than the click track because of how flexible they are.
