I actually don’t want to mention too much about this video since it will be premiering at the Echo Conference, but here are some pictures from a shoot we had this past Friday evening. We went from late afternoon till a little after 11PM. It was a full day and we were all tired afterward. That said, the shoot was a blast. We had a great little crew and a great cast. Matt Socia, April Cotton, Bobby Rodriguez, and Ashton Lloyd were our main actors and they all did a great job. We then had many extras, many Igniter staffers and friends of staffers, who were so gracious with their time and talent.
We can’t wait to show the video in two weeks, then make it available on our site. Be on the lookout for ‘Change the World, But Start At Home’.
The newest face around Igniter Media is a guy named Steve Vanderheide. You may have heard of him. He was our intern way back in 2006. See here.
Steve has spent the last 3-4 years working at Watermark Community Church. He did a phenomenal job there and created some great videos and content. He got to work with some amazing people over there and it’s cool to see how he has grown both spiritually and creatively. We are very excited to have him on our Igniter team and I can’t wait to see his work here at Igniter.
We have two very talented and cool interns for the summer… Kat French and Bonnie Wattigney. They have been a lot of fun to have up at our offices… I haven’t personally gotten to hang with them a lot since I’ve been gone for awhile. My hope for them is that they get a great experience this summer. I hope they learn about graphic design from Ryan, Ashton, David, and more. I hope they learn more clearly how God has gifted them and what they desire in a job/career. I also hope we are a good example of a healthy and productive work environment.
P.S. That’s Ashton’s hand in the picture (left side)
The Sacrifice of One surprised many of us with how much people liked it and wanted to show it this Memorial Day, but looking back at the process and the care we took to create this video it is not difficult to see the groundwork laid for it to succeed. Read the rest of this entry »
Igniter Media is honored to present its Memorial Day tribute, “The Sacrifice of One.” It was an amazing experience to work with the team on such a moving story. There were many last minute tweaks to make, voice overs to record, and props to find, but everyone did a fantastic job pulling it all together.
While this particular story is fictional, it represents one of many sacrifices made in the defense of our freedom. Every day, men and women in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy put their lives on the line so that we can experience special moments with our loved ones. The team at Igniter Media wants to thank you for your sacrifice.
If you have a chance, watch the video, and send it on to your friends and family.
Matt and Ginny Mooney and there two kids were on the Today Show last week and talked with Ann Curry. They were able to update the world on what is new with their family. We love the Mooney’s tremondously and are always inspired by them. They did a great job.
Here’s the clip:
Also, we kinda forgot to post this, but we won an award for 99 Balloons a little while ago. It was for the International Christian Film Festival.
We recently took some pictures of our whole staff. This is the RT Creative Staff which includes Igniter Media, WorshipHouse, COLLIDE Magazine, and the Echo Conference. I (Rob) work with an amazing group of people and am so thankful for what we get to do together.
We changed things up a little, so we want to let you know all about it. Previously, Igniter Tracks and easySLIDES were released in two separate products. But, we think they’re better together, so…we packaged Igniter Tracks 04 and easySLIDES in one convenient volume.
