True, true. Many people harp on past leaders of my faith because of their mistakes or imperfections. Brigham was a spitfire if there ever was one. But we are all just people doing our thing, but trying our darnedest to do Gods thing.

God's call is always simple. He has never promised it will be easy. Those whom He called are ordinary sinners who responded to Christ's call for a life of passion & purpose, purity and perseverance. He does not need to qualify those He calls. After all, He is GOD! He calls those who has qualified GOD as LORD.

Boy, did I need to see this! My constant thoughts for years have been what a failure I am, how I'm not half the spiritual man I used to be and how useless I will ever be to God. This causes me to at least consider the possibility, I may yet have some redeeming value.

I love everything about it except where it refers to God's people as "God's army." I understand the metaphor, but a military metaphor doesn't seem to fit the tone of the rest of the piece.
