Mr. Scanlon: Actually, in American usage, commas and periods always go inside the quotation marks, irrespective of any kind of logic. British usage makes a distinction, as does American usage for question marks and exclamation points.

Great video... For future reference, periods go inside quotation marks. So... I got "saved." Not... I got "saved". Nit-picking, I know. :)

Sorry Mr Schmidt. Your "nit-picking" is incorrect. It was used as a quote for emphasis (see example used in this sentence) on the word, as part of the sentence. The whole sentence is not a quote, so the period goes at the end of the sentence, not the quotation mark.
